I'm back...

I'm hoping to get better blogging over the summer. I have so many plans, and ideas going through my head. Finishing up on something I put together at the end of the year and my firsties loved. Hoping to have it completed soon.
What I really wanted to tell you about is get to TARGET if you haven't yet. The Dr. Seuss items that they are usually out of in February for the big day in March are out NOW. I picked up bags, pencils, and erasers. Also, I picked up a cute circular border I'm trying to figure out how to make it a crown. Pictures to follow later.
Also some very colorful bins if you are like me and need to freshen things up this year.  (Pardon the messy car trunk, pictures actually were so I knew what I had from previous Target and what colors I was looking for :-)). Also, if limited supply out ASK, Target was so helpful and brought out more and I was able to complete my book bin set.

Halloween Graphs

Just in time for Halloween. I love Halloween but love to keep the celebrating low key so I tie in a little math. After distributing each other's candies, whcih I prefer to leave closed and let parents determine how much is enough - I give each student a FUN size m & m treat. I have them sort by color, count and tally, and than graph their results. Now that I have the "big kids" (first graders) I have added an opportunity to create some addition equations. Enjoy and tell your friends. :-).

New Item - Uniform what do I wear?

School started today and I already was familiar with many students and their habits. I decided to make a worksheet explaining our school's uniform policy so there would not be any room for misunderstandings.

Since it is a small new release it is free for a short time act now. Uniform: What to do I wear?

If this doesn't do the trick I will do a do & don't poster. What do you do about repeat offenders or do you let it slide?

Is Daily 5 in your Classroom?

The 2 Sisters created the Daily 5 Cafe several  years ago and I think every classroom has adapted it in some way or another. My students loved it and I'm eager to see how this year's class takes to it. My hardest task was tracking while I'm working with groups. To help make students more accountable I created Daily 5 Logs. They were a little tough for my kindergartners at first but most picked up on it quick. I also decided to add a little diversity to the characters, making 2 versions available. Daily 5 Logs

I also made some newer classroom posters to give options. Daily 5 Posters I hope your like them.

My This is the Class Math Built  is now available on TPT. I didn't reinvent this wheel. Want to find out more check out this blog post from Learning Adventures with Mrs. Gerlach.
