Halloween Graphs

Just in time for Halloween. I love Halloween but love to keep the celebrating low key so I tie in a little math. After distributing each other's candies, whcih I prefer to leave closed and let parents determine how much is enough - I give each student a FUN size m & m treat. I have them sort by color, count and tally, and than graph their results. Now that I have the "big kids" (first graders) I have added an opportunity to create some addition equations.
